Hi there! I'm Amanda Galvin-Synk.
I grew up around photography and fell in love with the photos in National Geographic. I remember day dreaming about getting to know the elderly man in India with scratchy whiskers and wrinkled skin. Beautiful people. Amazing places. Fascinating culture. So much LIFE!
As an adult through the viewfinder I've a world where I can choose how to capture the beauty I see, and whether its a subject saturated with laughter, or the catchlight in an iris that pulls you in - I love that photos take you somewhere. They are proof that what once was will always have been, and the intrigue & nostalgia in that space is why I love photography.
